About

Olivia

Hello, my name is Olivia Carpenter and this summer (summer of 2017) I am riding across the country on a tandem bike with my dad. I am 14 years old and I go to Roosevelt High School in Seattle Washington. I am very excited for this ride. I am excited to see the country, spend time with my dad, and raise money to protect the native orcas of Puget Sound. The Southern Resident Killer Whales (Orcas) are very endangered and it is my goal in life to protect and save them from extinction. Global warming has negatively affected the population and the orcas need all the support they can get. Please donate to support our cause! I will keep you posted during our trip and look forward to sharing our stories!

When John isn’t working to “keep the iPhones working” at his day job as IT Director at Madrona Venture Group, he is usually cycling, skiing, hiking, or simply enjoying the outdoors. A native of Seattle, he has been exploring the waters of the Salish Sea since childhood and has vivid memories of the vast diversity of marine species that live in this wonderful ecosystem.
